ICLC Conferences

Upcoming ICLC conference

ICLC 11 will be held at the University of California at Berkeley, California, U.S.A., July 28-August 3, 2009. The conference is held in conjunction with the Linguistic Society of America Institute. Eve Sweetser is the organizer (contact: sweetser AT cogsci.berkeley.edu). Theme session proposals due Sept. 15, 2008. General session information coming soon.

Past conferences

ICLC 10 took place in Krakow, Poland, 15-20 July, 2007. It was the first "Jubilee Meeting", celebrating ICLA and Cognitive Linguistics organizational and publication milestones that occurred in 1987-1988 (see Cognitive Linguistics Historical Background). The organizing committee was headed by Prof. Elzbieta Tabakowska, of the University of Krakow, assisted by members of the Polish Cognitive Linguistics Association. ICLC 9 was held in Seoul, Korea, July 17-22, 2005.

ICLC 8 was held at the University of Logroño, La Rioja, Spain, July 20-25, 2003.

ICLC 6: Stockholm University, Sweden, July 1999.

ICLC 5: Free University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, July 1997.

ICLC 3: University of Leuven, Belgium, July 1993.

ICLC 2: University of California, Santa Cruz, U.S., July 29-August 2, 1991. Held in conjunction with the Linguistic Society of America Institute.
