The 2nd Central European Cognitive Linguistics conference, Cognitive Linguistics between Universality band Variation, organized by the universities of Dubrovnik and Osijek, took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, 2008. A volume is underway.

The 1st Central European Cognitive Linguistics conference, Converging and Diverging Tendencies in Cognitive Linguistics took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, 17-18 October 2005. Keynote speakers were: Ronald Langacker, Zoltan Kovecses, Suzanne Kemmer, Günter Radden, Klaus-Uwe Panther, Linda Thornburg, and Francisco Ruiz de Mendoza Ibanez. A volume of contributions from the conference is underway, edited by Mario Brdar.
